Rima Amyuni
Born in Beirut, Rima Amyuni graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the Byam Shaw School of Art in London, which is today part of Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design, before continuing her studies at Columbia University in New York City. She moved back to Lebanon during the war. In 1995, Amyuni was awarded the first prize in painting by Sursock Museum in Lebanon and has held several solo exhibitions. Her art often depicts her beloved Yarzé, where she lives and works, with the tranquillity relayed belying the village’s proximity to the city.
